Keeping you posted on todays events Messages from the President Simon Barker, President Kawartha Quarks Speedskating Club It is that time of the year again when we, as a club, look back and at the same time forward. Our skating season has come to an end, our yearly AGM and the summer lie before us and the next skating season, starting in September, includes the 2018 Winter Olympics, which this time around will take place in PyeongChang, South Korea from February 9 to 25th, 2018. Our annual general meeting is scheduled for Saturday, April 8th, with a 10am start. This year we are holding the event at Five Counties Children’s Centre, 872 Dutton Road, Peterborough. For those with young children, an added bonus is that we have access to the gym/activity room that day. We hope you can join us. Clubs like ours would not be able to function if it were not for volunteers and I am happy to say that we have many. A heartfelt Thank you to all of them. This year we are looking to fill the position of Club Treasurer. If you are interested, please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to seeing you on April 8th. Simon Barker President March 20th, 2017
