The Kawartha Quarks Peterborough Speed Skating Club has been fortunate to be able to acquire considerable resources.
We skate at the beautiful Evinrude Centre, 911 Monaghan Road, Peterborough. The ice pad size is ........
For a map to the arena, please click here.
The 'Quarks have a full set of safety mats and an array of training tools.
Thanks to funding from The Ontario Trillium Foundation, we have a large number of entry level short track skates that we make available to individuals. While this is intended to make good skates available to children, it is also extended to adults to allow a trial period . Skating in your own skates is desirable.
Sharpening is an individual task and art that is readily learnt. While we recommend that you have your own sharpening tools, we do have club kits that perform excellently and are available at a nominal fee.
We have participated in the Annual Snofest on the Liftlock Canal featuring a 10 km event at Snofest.
The Ontario Speedskating Oval at Lakefield has been intimately associated with us from the beginning. We continue to participate with the developments at Lakefield.
The City of Peterborough Recreation Department has been a solid partner over the years, facilitating our arena skating.
