A reminder that Tuesday skating has been cancelled for March break the 15th. The last Tuesday skate is March 22nd 2011.

November 4 2010 Skating Season is well underway. Our Main skating times on Tuesdays at 1715 and 1815 are working well, as well as the Friday morning and Saturday 0730 skating times.

Our AGM for 2009-2010 will be rescheduled for Saturday November 13th at Chris Coombs residence at 1830. It is a pot luck dinner. For further details contact Chris at cwcoons@gmail.com

This is to clarify the starting times which are all on the quarter hour, ie 1715, 1815, and 0715.

We are having our annual open house Tuesday September 14th at the Evinrude Centre IGA pad from 5:30-7:30. We will have the ice for people to try speed skating and also to try on the skates and check the fit and feel. We will require as always the proper equipment before going onto the ice. Helmet, neck guard and shin guards (short soccer style) are needed elbow and knee pads are recommended. Susan Scoffin will be providing some treats and punch along with anyone else who would like to bring munchies.

Our fees have increased slightly ($10) to cover the increase in cost of insurance and ice time.The cost will be $365 for one hour,$575 for two hours, and $785 for three hours.

We are offering three times to skate. Our normal time is Tuesday night from 5:15-7:15. First hour is for new and beginner skaters including adults. The second hour is for technical development for advanced skaters by invitation of coach Jack Lapum. Friday morning is an interval / conditioning session for intermediate and advanced skaters. Our Saturday skate is largely for adult skating and controlled endurance skate for the competitive skaters.

As a side note, we will be having our Pot Luck Dinner and AGM at Chris Coones Country Castle November 6.
